The Coming Rain - Hurricane Helene Tribute
Drawn in empathy for the victims of Hurricane Helene. Feeling especially heartbroken today for those suffering from Hurricane Helene -- especially friends and family in Western North Carolina, where I grew up and spent my childhood years (through college), now dealing with flooding on a catastrophic scale never before seen.
So many old and familiar places in the Blue Ridge Mountains -- Asheville, Chimney Rock, Black Mountain -- now devastated and laid to waste. Ways to help.

"I went out for a walk..."
“I only went out for a walk,
and finally concluded to stay out till sundown,
for going out, I found,
was really going in.”

"Where Nature May Heal and Give Strength"
verybody needs beauty as well as bread, places to play in and pray in,
where nature may heal and give strength
to body and soul alike. - John Muir, The Yosemite (1912).
